Dr. Vanashri Nargund-Joshi, Postdoctoral Research Associate

Dr. Nargund-Joshi recently finished her PhD from Indiana University, Bloomington in science education. Her role on this project is to design and implement qualitative studies related to teacher development of pedagogical content knowledge related to interdisciplinary science inquiry teaching.  Specifically, she focuses on understanding the nature of science teachers’ orientations towards interdisciplinary science teaching and its relation to the specific components of PCK. She also studies the role of contextual factors in shaping teachers’ orientations of interdisciplinary science inquiry teaching PCK.
